Mr. García

I’m Mr. Garcia (or just Carlos), a 5th-grade PYP homeroom teacher at The Magellan International School in Austin, Texas. I’ve spent the last eight years in education, diving deep into the IB system and loving every minute of it.

When I’m not in the classroom, you’ll probably find me traveling — I’ve visited 54 countries and counting! Experiencing different cultures and meeting new people has given me a unique view of the world. And I’m a big sports fan, especially when it comes to football (Celta de Vigo all the way), martial arts, and water sports. These passions help keep me balanced and energized both at work and in life.

Through this blog, I’ll be sharing what I’ve learned from teaching and from my adventures around the globe. I hope to inspire other educators, reflect on my own journey, and build a community of teachers who are excited about growing and trying new things!
